I cannot (or prefer not to) download the app, can I still receive connections and use my employee tools?

Yes – incoming Connections and nearly all tools can be used without the app.

Although we recommend the DealerRater for Dealers App for the best experience, here are some instructions on how to use the top employee tools without the app:

  • To receive alerts for new customer connections:

    • Add and verify your mobile phone # (necessary for incoming text connections). You can receive and reply to text message connections from customers directly from the text functionality of your phone, even without the app.

  • Watch your email for incoming phone and email connections.

    • For every connection you receive (text, phone, and email) you will be sent an email copy of the connection. This email will include the consumer’s contact info and their preferred method of communication.

Note: To receive any connections notifications, your admin must have enabled your profile setting ‘notify me when a customer contacts me through my profile page or VDP’

  • To update your profile:

    • Login to your profile from any device. Use the My Profile section to update your photo, bio, and other profile information that helps shoppers get to know you.

  • To watch employee training videos:

    • Click your profile icon (top right of your screen) > Training Videos to access

To access LotShot, however, you will need to download the DealerRater for Dealers App. (click here for iphone and here for Android).
