How to Install the Facebook Testimonials and Classifieds Apps

DealerRater offers two applications which can be installed to your dealer’s Facebook business page; a Testimonials app to display your recent positive reviews from around the web, and a Classifieds app to display your inventory.

Please note that you will also need to be signed in to Facebook with a personal profile that has access to manage your dealer’s business page on Facebook. Without a personal profile that has this admin access, you will not be able to add the apps.

To install DealerRater applications to your dealer’s Facebook page, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your Dealer Panel with an account which has administrative access for your dealership.
2. Go to Tools > Social Media Setup
3. Click the tab for the application you would like to install: Testimonials for your reviews testimonial feed, and Classifieds for your inventory.
4. Click Sign in With facebook.
5. Proceed through the setup permissions
   1. Continue as yourself
   2. Select the page(s) you wish to install to
   3. Accept permissions for the app to feed your reviews and/or inventory
6. Select the Facebook page you want to publish to
   1. If you do not see the desired page available, please make sure that you are also logged in to Facebook with a personal profile that has access to manage your dealer’s business page. If you are logged into Facebook as the dealer’s business page, the set up will not work.
   2. *note* - Facebook requires that your fan page have 2,000 likes for your information to feed
7. Click Save.
8. The app(s) will be installed to your dealer’s Facebook business page, visible to your audience as "Our Reviews" and "View Inventory."
   1. Facebook admins may access these apps in the Facebook back-end, in Settings > Templates and Tabs.
